The process is based on sludge processing (detoxification, disinfection, decontamination, disinfection) and is carried out in sludge beds of wastewater treatment facilities. The copper complex shows bactericidal properties, provides suppression of pathogenic microflora and helminth eggs by binding to cell membrane proteins. Organisms of suppressed microflora stick into nodules and become clenced. Helminth eggs change shape or "drain," life activity of microorganisms and helminth eggs does not resume. Specific fecal and rotten odor is diminished due to reduced intensity of fermentation processes in sludge. Reagent's detoxifying component consists of sodium salts of amino acids. Amino acid anions bind heavy metals ions into resistant non-toxic complexes (chelate forms). The reagent contents flocculant, which makes it possible to compress the mass of the sludge, reduce humidity, which increases the capacity of sludge beds up to 2 times.
